Any experience using a 6qt Lodge enameled Dutch oven for baking?
I know Lodge and I can buy one of them locally at a decent price. And while it has overwhelmingly good reviews I have only seen a few about bread.
Does anyone here please have real world bread baking experience with it?
Thanks.
I have a giant Lodge 7 quart oval enameled dutch oven & have baked some excellent loaves in it.
I would caution that the edges chip easily, the top seems to have gotten a tiny bit warped with use, and it picked up some quick discoloration spots. But these are quibbles. It produces great bread, with amazing oven spring.

Thanks, that is very helpful.
Cast Iron dutch ovens. I prefer the plain but use both. They work great. My favorite is this one from Amazon

I put the bread in the lid and cover with the pot. Works great.
