My first pumpkin pumpkin bread and einkorn sandwich bread
Happy almost Thanksgiving!
I'm in charge of bread this year, I had a lot of fun making this.
The stub was made of a piece of cracker dough I saved the other day, it was supposed to be a stem with a tail, but it was too fragile it broke. Well I don't have any more cracker dough left so I'll stick with a stub!
And also an einkorn pan loaf for myself! Nothing fancy, the steam was created by the giant pot of soup I got going in my oven, turned out being pretty sufficient for the bloom, got a nice spring out of it.
Tomorrow is Babka day!
What's on everybody's menu this year?

People will go crazy over that artfully decorated pumpkin loaf.
It’s just me and my husband this year so I can do whatever I want. I’m going to make a big batch of assorted Chinese dumplings from the Woks of Life, steam some, and freeze the rest. And maybe some “pineapple” buns filled with red bean paste for dessert.
Red bean filled pineapple buns? With the buttery crackled top? That sounds amazing! I love red/adzuki beans in mochi!
Both loaves look excellent, and the crumb on the einkorn loaf is perfect!
Thank you Hei! Happy Thanksgiving!(I guess it's black Friday already)
Decisions, decisions: Should I eat them because they look so delicious or just admire them because they are so beautiful? If you have to have a problem, that's a good one to have.
Happy Thanksgiving!
I'd say food that pleases the eyes should be devoured asap for more to come later! Happy Thanksgiving!
Your pumpkin bread is gorgeous and your Einkorn loaf has a perfect crumb.
My wife and I are staying home this year and I only made a simple white bread with ricotta and a SD on Challah for the stuffing.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Simple food and best company is the way Thanksgiving should be!
That is one beautiful pumpkin bread, Really nice job with the scoring and shaping! I love the colour of the crumb of your einkorn loaf, what % is the einkorn?
Benny
I used my new ufo blade for that, I love that control!!
I used about 35% einkorn for the sandwich bread, I also added an egg so that adds a little color to that too.
