Someone uncovered my starter
I was going to feed my starter today, and I found someone left the lid off of it and now it's all crusted over. What should I do to it?

I was going to feed my starter today, and I found someone left the lid off of it and now it's all crusted over. What should I do to it?
Then carry on feeding the healthier looking starter as normal making sure there are no dried bits clinging to the side as it could go mouldy.
Skim off the crust, dig into the good stuff and, if I were you, start again in a clean jar.
and feed the animals!
