Flour Bolting Questions
I have been getting back in to grinding hard red winter wheat into flour.
One of the most exciting techniques that I have been experimenting with is Bolting my flour using a #20 and then a #55 sieve (bought from Pleasanthill).
The resulting flour is absolutely wonderful.
Using the #20 sieve is really easy.
The problem is that bolting a kilo of flour through the #55 sieve is a real pain. It is time consuming and extremely messy. I'm also concerned with breathing the flour dust.
Does anyone have any suggestions for automated flour sieve machines? I have tried the Komo sieve, and was completely unimpressed using the finer sieve.
How about re-milling the material (chaff?) left in the sieve?
Thanks in advance
