Cookbook Author’s App
I didn’t know where else to post this. It’s cooking related, but…
I have grand delusions of writing a cookbook, and I’m looking for an app (iOS for iPad) to help me in the process. Do any of you have any suggestions? I already have a few, including a database, but each one falls short in one aspect or another. “Recipe Keeper” and “Recipe Box” are doing okay, but they offer no field to write the recipe, just fields for ingredients, instructions and maybe note and a photo. The database is okay, but there’s a lot of cutting and pasting to do, and it doesn’t let you create different layouts.
I’ve heard of authors writing entire books on a tablet. What do they use? What do you use?

have been looking for something also , specifically as a gift for my wife, going to take all her recipes and create a book for her. came across this site and seems pretty interesting.

We didn't use an app, but rather chose to publish using the print on demand publisher, CreateSpace. We have recently completed 3 softcover books; Bread Defined, Mastering Sourdough, and Delicious Direct Breads. We have not done anything yet with Kindle publishing, but expect we will check it out in the future. If you want to get a book printed, this is one way we found to be very useful. Good luck.
