Pope Francis on Bread
"Hope is the door that opens onto the future. Hope is a humble, hidden seed of life that, with time, will develop into a large tree. It is like some invisible yeast that allows the whole dough to grow, that brings flavor to all aspects of life."
-Pope Francis in his recent TED talk
I hear his bakes have a wonderfully open crumb. They don't call him His Holiness for nothing.
-Tom
"His Holiness" .
I didn't know he baked. No wonder he seems to understand life so well. I will have to listen to his TED talk sometime.
Thanks!
TED talk? I thought that was just a rumor. Gotta watch it! Sheesh. Got my degree in Catholic theology just a decade ago. Things have changed so much in 10 years. I'm too young to say things like "back in my day, we had to read these paper things called encyclicals. No video for us."
ok, that made me laugh haha
"Life is like a loaf of bread..."
"Il Sale dei Papi" as a flavour enhancer, especially in savoury breads.
