Fibery stringy bread

Hello everybody,

I’m new to the community and I am a Bread enthusiast but lately I’ve been concerned with surprised I see coming from the local stores.   one in particular, I won’t mention names, but it seems like when I pull the bread apart I see what  I would describe as tendrils or thin, wormy veins stretch, and tear apart and shrink back into cavities. When I tear a piece of bread off a loaf, The tendrils many times don’t Snap back into the perspective cavities they remain, sticking out a little bit.  how can I trust eating them or buying them and it’s a shame because I used to very much enjoy a fresh loaf of bread with some butter or Brie… Please see the pics and let me know if I’m overreacting. Thanks for your help.

Is this bread from in-store bakeries, or the mass-produced bread found in grocery stores? I'm sure it's safe to eat. Is the mouth feel or texture different than before? If it's an in-store bakery, speak to the head baker, if it's mass produced, you can perhaps make your own?

Does the crumb feel wet? Is there a fruity odor?

See if it resembles Mini Oven's description of "rope".

This is major supermarket store bought bread that poses as a high-end bakery. The bread looks so good at first, but when you examined it up close, if you pay any attention, you notice what I was referencing.

To answer the questions the loaf of bread we purchased a few hours earlier, not stale, not moist, Should’ve been tip top,  So convinced it was on something more and It was

I busted out my digital camera, microscope, and zoomed in for a closer look. Holy cow I was not expecting what I saw.  I can’t do it tonight but tomorrow I’ll download the images and upload them into the site for your review and consideration. I think this is a bigger problem than just the bread coming from one store. I’ve seen the same thing at Another store here in town. #BeCarefulWhereYouBuyBread.
