Kamut berries-any bulk source available?
Kamut has not been available for a while but it should have been harvested by now.
Anyone have a source for Kamut berries in bulk? (40-60# bags/buckets). All I can find are the little, very high-priced 24oz bags.
I live in the Milwuakee,Wisconsin,USA area. Anyone interested, locally, in a joint order to reduce costs? I have a relative in Minneapolis and CHicago that can also pick up an order for me if there is a local source.
I see that http://www.homegrownharvest.com/ normally has it, but it is temporarily out of stock.
Try www.breadbeckers.com they have it lssted under grains in 6gallon pails. They also are involved in co-ops in many area.i
Wow! A 42 pound bucket of Kamut is $77 at BreadBeckers! That is $1.83/lb for the wheat and the bucket. I didn't expect that considering I paid $14 each for two 40# bags of wheat berries- hard red spring and hard winter white. That comes to 35cents/lb.
is also available at Wheat Montana.
Wheat Montana replied to my email.
