Bagels

My wife and I had been watching the Great British Bake Off over the weekend, and I decided to try to add something new to my repertoire. As such, I pulled together a small batch of naturally leavened bagels. I definitely have some work to do on the shaping, but for a first attempt at bagels of any kind, I thought they turned out pretty well.

Very nice! They look delicious. Sourdough bagels with some whole wheat are my fave! I’m lazy, so I just do the poke a hole through the middle of a ball shaping method.

Thank you for the kind words! They tasted very good, as they had a complex flavor with just a bit of sourness. They also had 10% whole wheat flour in both the stiff levain and the final dough.

Nothing to be ashamed of, here. I wish I had some of these, they look downright yummy!
