Liquid Bread Forum Sought

I intend to finally brew some.

I know there are a lot of brewers on this forum and I would like to ask those of you who are, for your recommendations to forums for brewers that might be as useful as this one is to bakers.

Thank you for those.

I'm going to lurk these suggested forums for a few weeks and choose one to follow.

It's interesting how each forum (no matter the subject) develops it's own attitude (or vibe). The brewing forums I bumped into thru google just didn't resonate with me, so I thought I'd come to the source of friendly attitude (TFL) for recommendations.

I truly appreciate it.

making beer and bread really are when it comes to developing flavor, color and aroma.  Just like bread , there are at least 10,000 different beers out there for you to craft and some of them that you make at home will be special and unique because .....you can't buy them anywhere no matter how rich you are.  Then the bread you make with your beer will also be one of a kind.  Beer making is a lot more expensive then bread making and the mistakes are really expensive:-) 

Still - patience reigns supreme in both

Interesting that you should bring that up.

I was just having a conversation with a good friend who asked me 'What is your obsession with making bread and cheese, and now beer? Do you think you will save money?'

My reply was, 'If you ever want to pay $30 for a pound of fish, just go out on a boat to get it'. Being a fisherman, he understood.

Clearly, it's the process; the control, the quality, and not the expense that brings pleasure. Imagine if you paid yourself even minimum wage in the persuits.

Altho, while a bread experiment is a buck or two in expense, a 'beer' experiment might be many times more risk. Plus the time.

But I've been meaning to brew for so long now (and being a fan of the product), I feel now is the time for me to begin exploring.

I know Beer Bread recipe, it’s a super quick and simple bread that will become a weeknight  to serve alongside all of your hearty fall meals. This bread literally takes 5 minutes to prep and requires only 5 simple ingredients. Ingredients:1/3 cup sugar; 3 cups self-rising flour; 12 ounces beer; 1 teaspoon kosher salt; 2 tablespoons melted.
