BBA multi-purpose whitebread
There are three variations in the book; I made number 1 tonight. The rolls baked up nice. I followed the formula exactly, unheard of for me, except I didn't use the egg wash.
The dozen small ones are a gift for my father in law. The half dozen big ones will make my lunch sandwiches.
Those are some nice rolls. I've made all three variations at one time or another and things turn out perfectly each time. What kind of pan did you bake them in, or did they just grow together with the spring?
I baked them on a sheet pan with parchment paper. The small rolls were about 1/2 to 3/4 inch apart after shaping and just barely touching before going into the oven. The six large rolls fit on a half sheet pan without touching.
I need to make the whole recipe into dinner rolls for our office party and can't decide if I should wedge two dozen rolls on one half sheet pan or divide them.
